Prayer For You To Possess The Gates Of Those Who Hate You: Genesis 24:60

Prayer For You To Possess The Gates Of Those Who Hate You: Genesis 24:60

Prayer for Strength and Victory over Our Adversaries

Abba Father, God of Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov, I come before You, humbled and full of awe at the majesty of Your name. You are El Shaddai, Almighty God, the One who keeps covenant and steadfast love with Your people. You are my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer. I thank You for Your faithfulness to Your promises, for You are the God who never forgets and never fails.

Lord, I lift up the words of our fathers, the blessings of our ancestors, and I pray with the same faith that sustained them. I remember the prayer spoken over Rivkah: “And may your descendants possess the gates of those who hate them” (Genesis 24:60). Father, I ask for this same blessing—that I may live in Your strength and inherit victory over every power that stands against Your will, Your people, and Your truth. Just as You promised that Rivkah's descendants would rise and overcome all opposition, I pray that my family, my loved ones, and all who call on Your name would be blessed with the same victory.

Lord, You know my heart, my struggles, and my fears. I place them all in Your hands, knowing that You are my protector and defender. You said in Your Word, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me” (Isaiah 54:17). I hold to this promise, Abba, for I trust in Your righteousness, not my own. Shield me from every attack of the enemy, silence every voice of accusation, and empower me to stand firm in the face of all challenges.

I pray that You would grant me discernment to know Your will and wisdom to follow Your path. Father, let Your Word be my light, guiding me away from temptation and strengthening me to resist the schemes of the adversary. “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). Lord, with You by my side, I shall not fear. You are my strength, my courage, and my shield. Teach me to walk in boldness, knowing that You go before me and fight for me.

Father, as You blessed Rivkah's descendants to conquer their enemies, I ask that You empower me to overcome the forces that come against me, whether in the physical or spiritual realm. “For the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands” (1 Samuel 17:47). I believe, Adonai, that You are greater than all who stand against me. In You, I am strong; in You, I am victorious. When I am weak, may Your power be perfected in me, for You are my strength.

I pray that You would cover me and all those I love under the shelter of Your wings. Just as You commanded Your angel armies to protect Your people, I ask that You send Your angels to guard my path, to hold me steady, and to lift me above all obstacles. “He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways” (Psalm 91:11). I trust, Abba, that You are my fortress, my refuge, and my stronghold. Guard my heart, my mind, and my soul from the enemy’s schemes, and keep me close to Your heart.

In my life, may Your name be glorified. In my victories, may Your power be praised. May I be a living testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness, so that all who see my life would see Your hand at work. “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6). Teach me to rely not on my own strength, but solely on You, for You are the one who gives me victory.

And when I face the gates of those who hate me, Lord, let me face them with courage, standing on the promises You have given me. I know that in Yeshua, I am more than a conqueror. “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). Help me to remember that with You on my side, I can face any obstacle, overcome any trial, and possess the gates of every enemy who opposes Your work.

Thank You, Abba, for hearing my prayer, for going before me, and for blessing me with the inheritance of Your promises. I declare Your victory over my life and the lives of my loved ones, trusting in Your unfailing love and Your mighty hand. May Your name be praised forever and ever.

In the name of my Messiah, Yeshua, who gives me victory and life everlasting, I pray.

Amen.
