Prayer Of Contrition: Discover True Repentance Through Yeshua
Dear HaShem, My Heavenly Father,
I come before You today with a humble heart, seeking Your forgiveness and grace. I acknowledge my shortcomings and sins, and I recognize that I have fallen short of Your glory. Your Word in Psalm 51:10 reminds me, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." I earnestly ask for this renewal, desiring to turn away from the things that separate me from You.
Hashem, I realize that true repentance requires a deep contrition of heart. Your Word in Isaiah 57:15 tells me, "For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: 'I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit.'" I come to You with a contrite spirit, seeking to draw near to You and experience the fullness of Your mercy.
In the name of Yeshua, I plead the powerful blood of the Lamb over my life. Your Word in Hebrews 9:22 declares, "Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins." I thank You for the sacrifice of Yeshua, which provides me with the opportunity for forgiveness and reconciliation. I ask that His blood wash over me, cleansing me from all unrighteousness and freeing me from the guilt and shame that weigh heavily on my heart.
Father, I invite the fire of God to burn within me, igniting a passion for holiness and righteousness. Your Word in Jeremiah 23:29 asks, "Is not my word like fire, declares the LORD, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?" I pray that Your holy fire consume my sins, breaking the chains that bind me and purifying my heart. Let this fire transform me, helping me to turn away from anything that does not honor You.
Lord, I seek Your forgiveness for the specific ways I have strayed from Your path. Your Word in 1 John 1:9 assures me, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." I confess my sins before You, both known and unknown, and I trust in Your faithfulness to forgive and cleanse me. Help me to repent earnestly, turning away from my past actions and striving to live a life that reflects Your love and grace.
Hashem, I desire that Your name be glorified through my journey of repentance. Your Word in Psalm 51:15 says, "O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise." I pray that as I experience Your forgiveness and grace, my heart will overflow with gratitude and praise for Your goodness. May my testimony of repentance encourage others to seek Your mercy and grace.
Lord Yeshua, I thank You for being my advocate and intercessor. Your Word in 1 John 2:1 assures me, "But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." I am grateful that You stand before the Father on my behalf, pleading for my forgiveness. I ask that You help me to walk in the light of Your truth, living each day in a manner worthy of the grace I have received.
As I seek Your forgiveness, I also pray for the strength to forgive those who have wronged me. Your Word in Matthew 6:14-15 reminds me, "For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." I ask for the grace to release any bitterness or resentment, knowing that true repentance requires a heart open to forgiveness.
In Your mighty name, Yeshua, I pray for true contrition, healing, and the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit to fill my life. Let the blood of Yeshua cover me and shield me from all condemnation, and may the fire of God burn brightly within me, guiding me to a place of genuine repentance and restoration. I commit my heart and my journey to Your glory and honor, trusting in Your unfailing love and mercy.
