Prayer For Deliverance From The Chains Of Addiction

Prayer For Deliverance From The Chains Of Addiction

Heavenly Father,

I come before You today, recognizing my complete dependence on Your grace and mercy. I humbly seek Your intervention for those who are battling the demon of addiction, a struggle that can seem insurmountable. I call upon Your holy name, HaShem, the God of Israel, who hears the cries of the afflicted and knows our pain. Through the powerful name of Yeshua, my Lord and Savior, I ask for Your divine help in breaking the chains that bind those trapped in addiction.

Father, I acknowledge that addiction can feel like a dark abyss, pulling individuals further away from Your light. Your Word reminds us in Psalm 18:28, “For it is You who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness.” I pray that You illuminate the hearts of those caught in this struggle, bringing them hope and clarity in their darkest moments. Ignite a spark within them that yearns for freedom and healing.

I plead the blood of Yeshua over each person fighting against addiction. I claim the shield of His blood, which protects and restores. As it is written in Revelation 12:11, “And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” May they find victory over the enemy through the power of His sacrifice. I declare that the strongholds of addiction will crumble under the weight of Yeshua’s blood, and that chains will be broken as they lean on You for strength.

Lord, I ask for Your justice to flow like a river, washing away the guilt and shame that addiction brings. In Isaiah 61:1, You proclaim, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives.” I pray that those struggling will experience this liberty, finding solace in Your Word and the good news of salvation. Bind up their broken hearts and heal their wounds, for You are a God of restoration.

May Your fire, O God, burn away the impurities and the desires that lead to addiction. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 3:13, “Each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done.” I ask that this refining fire consume the chains of addiction, purifying their hearts and minds. Let them emerge from this trial stronger, more resilient, and filled with the desire to seek You above all else.

Father, I desire that You be glorified through the deliverance of those battling addiction. Let Your name be exalted as they experience healing and transformation. In Psalm 50:15, You invite us, “Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” May they call upon You, experiencing Your deliverance, and in turn, glorifying Your name through their testimonies of freedom.

I pray that the comfort of Your Spirit envelops each person struggling with addiction. Bring them peace that surpasses all understanding, as promised in Philippians 4:7. May they find refuge in Your presence, recognizing that they are not alone in this battle. Surround them with a community of support that reflects Your love and compassion.

In closing, I lift this prayer to You, Father, in the mighty name of Yeshua, trusting in Your power to heal, deliver, and restore. May Your will be done in their lives, and may all glory, honor, and praise be lifted to You now and forevermore.

Amen.
